Somalia Foreign Business Restrictions (Embargo) (May 20 , 2010) We've been notified that the U.S. Department of State and the President have instituted sanctions against entities in Somalia, effective April 2010. The Office of Foreign Asset Control, management office for U.S. Diplomatic and Economic Sanctions, is revising the list and scheduled to provide guidance as soon as possible. For now all U.S. persons and U.S. corporations are forbidden to transfer funds, all property real or otherwise into or out of Somalia.
